“Division of Labor” for Social Scientists

It is necessary to realize that social scientists are often presented with extremely difficult and intransigent problems. Just like any other branch of science, social science has had to use the division of labor approach in order to reduce the complexity of some issues by dividing them into parts. It allowed a higher level of specialization as well as the broadening of “intellectual horizon” (Eulau 13). Moreover, the division of labor has produced such diverse fields of social sciences as anthropology, economics, political science psychology, and sociology (Eulau 12). One should mention that in order to solve an extremely complex issue, social scientists employ an interdisciplinary method that allows them to approach problems from different angles.
